At first impression, this product looked interesting.
It was packaged in a nice black and white box, and had photos of bright red chili peppers on the box.
There were even good sounding recipes on the inside of the box.
And, it said it was made in Italy.
Surely, it would be a great pepper product.
NOT !
Unfortunately, this product turned out to be something that no one should ever buy.
It is supposed to contain Chili Peppers, Salt, Olive Oil, and Citric Acid.
The label should read SALT, SALT, and more SALT !
It tastes first of SALT, then of more SALT, and then of more SALT, then like Sriracha Chili Sauce, except that it is about 1/10 the heat level.
It is so full of salt, that it is not usable for any culinary purpose.
These clown are marketing this stuff at Walmart for $4.15 for a 3 oz tube, and no telling how much at other stores.
Do not waste your money buying this junk. It has no culinary purpose, except as a SALT substitute !
Perhaps they could spread it on frozen roads and walks, to melt ice, due to the high SALT content?
I would also avoid other products by this outfit.
This is so bad, that I would never consider buying their other products, like Basil Paste.
It is amazing that producers even consider introducing junk like this on the market !
Did they even bother to taste it before they marketed it ?
Best Regards

WoW. Great concept but sounds like a train wreck. Thanks for the heads up!

I thought it was a great idea also.
Too bad they did not get it right.
Perhaps some other company will come along and market something similar that has the taste and ingredients right ?
I really do not like writing a bad review of a product, however, in this case, there was absolutely no choice.

Hey John,
I bought the anchovy paste from the same mfg.
it was the same, all salt. I also bought it at wally world except is was in the discontinued shelf for $1.98
I now know why. I still might try the wasabi paste and see if there is a redemtion.

This looks like it would either an oddball product that would totally work or totally fail. Sorry to hear that it’s the later, John. Good review.
