1. My favorite new product at the Fiery Food Show deserves to be mentioned. Deano’s Jalapenos “cheddar” flavor. An awesome crunchy snack. I just put up a video multiple person review at my website tonight.

2. I second that, those “chips” are fantastic!!!!

My vote of course is the three amazing award winning sauces from:
CHEATER 5 SURFIN’ SALSA COMPANY
http://www.cheater5.com

3. My vote goes out to benitos hot sauce he makes some killer sauces. Plus I gotta support the local guys.

4. If it is ok, I want to choose my dry spices. Rick b

5. Shameless self plug – Jake Albert’s Fuego Rojo is a very unique product, Pomegranate Habanero Glaze, perfect for dipping, grilling, and amazing on ice cream. Won 3 2010 Scovie Awards, 2 Golds and a Silver – a gold for tasting the glaze on ice cream.

6. How about naming someone elses product guys? I am sure all your products are worthy of mention, but lets not get out of control. Btw…where is Doug?

7. Jay said, Shameless self plug

If your speaking of me, then all I can say is, I did ask if it was ok. Plus two of my dry spices took first place and second place awards from the Hot pepper awards. I am entering all 3 of my spices into the Scovie awards for 2011 and am awaiting a product review of all 3 of my spices from JBJ and the Hot
pepper. Rick b

8. We just want a list of products that you all agree upon that are your favorites.

Mick
KATO’S

9. Here’s a small list:

Gunther’s Gourmet Salsas
Suck Creek Wings Sauce
Blues BBQ Chipotle Mustard Pepper Sauce
Intensity Academy Hot Cubed Hot Sauce
Benito’s Naranja Organic Hot Sauce

10. Mild to Wild finishing sauces, namely the Fiery Hot!

Chef Dean Martin’s Asian BBQ and Marinade.

11. Both of Parker’s choices get my nod as well. The Mild to Wild Fiery Hot Habanero is a separate sauce from their finishing sauce. Also the Chef Dean Martin Asian sauce isn’t spicy but it is an awesome sauce.

12. Any of Defcon’s three DC wing sauces belong there as well…

13. Ok now i have to agree with you.Anything Defcon would be a huge add…..

JBJ

14. Well Scott Roberts list looks the most interesting & Ill have to say you all haven’t looked at kato’s in some tine we have been selling Defcon sauces since 2007

Mick
KATO’S

15. Mick, I actually looked through the hot sauce category on your site just recently. I just now looked again and found Defcon in the BBQ & marinades category. My bad. :)

16. Ring of Fire sauces.

17. I know Kato has been a defcon dis. for awhile, my fav is his own Hemi sauce. I want to see maybe a mildtowild or cajohn fav, might be too much of a flooded market though.

18. Captain Foods a 18 year old hot sauce company
from central Florida is now making world renouned
artist Guy Harvey’s gourmet sauces and spices products. Guy’s artwork is on all the hot sauce labels and what a killer is inside the bottle!
Guy Harvey Hot Sauces now from Captain Foods.

19. It has to be Intensity Academy’s products. They’ve been racking up awards, and their Carrot Karma hot sauce is one of the best sauces I’ve tried in ages. And their Chai Thai Teriyaki is absolutely fantastic in a myriad of uses, not just stir fry.

20. I’m definitely going with Intensity Academy. The Chai Curry Chup is my favorite!

21. I LOVE all of the hot sauces from Intensity Academy. I frequently purchase them for gifts and the recipients love them. My favorites are the Chai Tai teriyaki and the Green`Tea Gourmet.

22. All of the sauces from Intensity Academy get my vote – especially their Chai Thai Teriyaki and Green Tea Gourmet!

23. Intensity Academy sauces are incredible and get my vote!! Favorites are Hot Cubed and Chai Chipolte, and the newest sauce Garlic Goodness.

24. Intensity Academy’s “Chai Chipotle Q”. Hands down!!!!

Just this one sauce alone can make several dishes for your menu!

25. Gotta go with Intensity Academy. Their new garlic hot sauce is incredible!

26. The whole line of Intensity Academy is incredible. The Carrot Karma,Chai Chipotle Q,Chai Curry Chup, and Hot Cubed are staples in our house. The companies numerous awards speak for themselves, they are simply incredible and all get my vote. :-P

27. Great job guys that just got Intensity Academy right into the top 5 …….

JBJ

28. Intensity Academy wins alll my votes…no questions asked! How simple is a sauce, it is twisted opened, and poured to savor a dish, right? Is the hard work that is put into that small bottle ever really thought of? You really have to try try this stuff at least once to truly know the difference between a real “sauce” and the shelf sauce…

29. By the way, once you try it, you’ll never go back to that shelve brand!!!

30. Looks like the HSB Sauce of the month all over again. There must be calledrules that 1st time posters carry zero street cred. Every company sends their friends and family here to slide the voting process their way. Intensity Academy is from Florida and they know better than anyone how voting can be corrupted. lol Intensity Academy is a great company so they should be mentioned. Mick they are your neighbor so u should hook them no matter what. Their Teriyaki sauce is my fav btw.

31. ROCK ON INTENSITY ACADEMY!!!!!!!!

32. As a Personal Chef, I use hot sauces routinely to “spice” up dishes for my clients, so I have tried numerous brands over the years to find just that right “intensity” …. But I look no more, I purchase and use all of Intensity Academy’s products, a case at a time … all natural, made locally from local produce … who could ask for more … 40 awards is 2 years is proof that I’m not the only one that thinks so!

33. Buddah…

We are going by the post’s.. Right?…Wrong? We dont care just as long as the post there favorites.

Aslo I would like to add Fat Kids Sauces to the mix as well

34. It is your website not mine. Now go to my Off-Topic contest at http://www.iloveitspicy.com. The more new people that post the more money will generated as a prize. I will include an Intensity Academy bottle as part of the prize package.

35. I saw this promo on a Facebook page…so I Shared it on my Facebook page. My sauces happen to have a strong Fan Base. I thought the purpose was for people to say what they like. Just my thoughts….

36. Oh my…I love this SAUCY Drama!

:)

37. I’m definitely going with The Chai Curry Chup from the Intensity Academy. It is delicious!

38. Like I said guys the more the better.Keep them coming.Michelle Keep up the great work

JBJ

39.

LOL…I didn’t really even TRY…just posted it once on FB & Twitter yesterday. Can’t help it if I have a Cyber Posse. I’ll vote for Captain Thoms New Bacon Ketchup!

40. “Looks like the HSB Sauce of the month all over again. There must be called rules that 1st time posters carry zero street cred. Every company sends their friends and family here to slide the voting process their way.”

First time commentors should have their say, too. If other sauce makers want to send some of their fan base over here to comment and suggest their sauces, then they can do that too.

41. I would have to say without a doubt you couldn’t go wrong with any Intensity Academy Sauces!!! They are all fabulous and versatile any single sauce or a combination of sauces would definitely add a new dimension of flavor to your food!!!

42. I like, no, Love, every Intensity Academy sauce I’ve ever tried. There are a couple I haven’t tried, like the new garlic one, but I love Hot2, Carrot Karma (think I spelled that right), Chai Thai Terriaki — especially because I don’t hot without flavor and I cook with these as well as adding them at the table. My sons like the hottest ones, I like the not quite as hot. This is their website:
http://intensityacademy.com/

43. Buddah…. Michelle is only doing what every manufacturerer should do, she is gathering up her “fan base” to promote and sell her product. Lord knows THT did it, she would be crazy not to, in this economic crisis, MANUFACTURERS know how tough it is to even keep afloat (especially in the hot sauce business)… Kudos to you Michelle….. wrangle them in !!!!!!!! You definitley have MY vote!

44. Just to comment on the previous discussion…
This is a BLOG, which means anyone can comment and anyone with taste buds can add their spicy opinion. We are talking about sauce here, peeps. Anyone who loves sauces, has the right to vote! :)

I photographed Intensity Academy’s sauces and recipes and was able to eat off the vittles all day long. So, I have to choose my favorites of their sauces:
Chai Chipotle Q’ and Chipotle Chup, fo’ sure!

45. If everyone has a right to vote, so do I have a right to my opinion. I respect Intensity Academy, Michele and Tom both know that I love their products. I gave 4 bottles of their teriyaki to my Mom as a gift. I said in my post above that Mick should be carrying their products because they are both from Florida. I am just reacting to what ended up destroying the HSB’s Sauce of the Month contest. It turned out to be a 1st time postfest to promote for a company rather than a true vote.

Michele has been very resourceful in promoting Intensity Academy, and I have seen it first hand at various shows. Her passion and personality would sell product even if they were bad. Yet, they are really good products and that is why she has loyal fan base. I am not discouraging her zeal to rally the troops. I made my comments about this thread as a whole, and not to attack anyone company. I stick by that.

I will be giving a bottle of Intensity Academy hot sauce and one of her crazy hot Lollipops in the contest at my website http://www.ILoveItSpicy.com. There will be 4 other of my favorite products giving to the winner as well as money determined by how many new people post ideas(.20 cents/new posted to be added to the prize pot up to $100). All you have to do is come up with a clever Off-Topic chat thread name for my website to use in the future.

46. Hot Cubed from Intensity Academy!
LOOOOOVE it.

Buddah, I don’t see how getting more people to vote is destroying a contest. The reason so many of us are stepping up and taking the time to come here and vote for Intensity Academy is because we love Michele & Tom’s sauces!

Yes, Michele is an amazing marketer with an awesome personality, and she probably COULD get us to try anything. But the true test is what happens after that: The reason she has such a loyal following and repeat customers is because her sauces are great.

So my vote stands: Intensity Academy Hot Cubed!

47. I vote for Intensity Academy’s Teriyaki sauce – Teriyaki meatballs are an AMAZING appetizer for any party! My 68-year-old mother is a chai chipotle chup fanatic. All of Intensity Academy’s sauces are worthy of a vote. Can’t wait to try the new Garlicky Goodness!

48. I remember having a hot sauce called “Carrot Karma” (I think that was the name) that was excellent. It added flavor as well as heat.

49. I LOVE Peppers And More forum of Free Speech! POWER to the PEOPLE! (of the PepperWorld that is!)

50. Wow, to think that I thought you needed a rotisserie fantasy baseball league with chileheads in it to have this much drama!

That said, I will recommend 3 products that I have tried recently that deserve some representation:

Deano’s Jalapenos – best spicy snack I’ve had in years

Oregon Trail jerky – try the habanero hot and green chili and garlic, they ROCK!

Heartbreaking Dawns – their Bhut Pear-Apple sauce is amazingly good

51. If we paid this much attention in the league as we do here we would have had no problems…

With that said..Oregon Trail jerky is very very good. Now if we can get a feww more people to vote on the ,,,They may make it in as well……

52. If this is a popularly contest then Intensity Academy should win.

53. Hi Folks:

I’ve been spammed on twitter as well as facebook. I’m all for sauce manufactures promoting their products but come on. Dignity has more staying power than a quick fix or award. Quit trying to slant the results with friends and family. You don’t see the real players in the industry do this. Shame on you!

54. Guys….. This contest was nothing major,,IF this had been a contest that we wanted to have more controll over we would have done so..I’m not getting into the right and wrong of this so PLEASE just have fun…. 8-O 8-O

There is still 5 days left to vote for your favorite sauce. Yes….Intensity Academy will be in the top 5 but there is still plenty of room for other sauce’s.

Steve….Intensity Academy is one of the real players in this industry. So yea I see them do it all the time.Just great marketing..

55. Intensity Academy rocks! The Tongue knows hot sauce. Hot with flava! Love it!

[file]http://peppersandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/redtng.bmp[/file]

56. Family sneaks our Intensity Academy hot sauce into every restaurant we go to. *8 BIG thumbs up here*

57. Hands down, you gotta go with Intensity Academy. Their carrot based hot sauce ROCKS!! The sweetness of the carrots enhances the flavor of the habaneros while taming their heat yet maintaining their kick – best I ever put in my mouth! I’m addicted to the stuff.

58. Intensity Academy, hot cubed!

Intensity Academy hot sauces are popular because they’re great!
The fact that Michele & Tom have sparkly personalities is just a bonus.

59. Well KATO’S has made their choice and it is

Intensity Academy’s Chai Thai Teriaki sauce and Blue’s BBQ chipotle Mustard Sauce.

It has been great and we’ll let everyone know when it is up.

Mick
KATO

60. Congrats to Michele, Tom and Steve for their great products.

61. Great Job Kato it was a pleasure to help you pick your new products. You are picking up two more great products along with two great Manufacturers.
