Heartbreaking Dawns has a unique hot sauce that combines two of my favorite ingredients. Jalapenos and pineapple are blended with onions, carrots and other vegetables to create a unique and different sauce. We were excited to try this sauce because of Heartbreaking Dawns wonderful “Dr. Birds Jerk” rub. Let’s give this sauce a try and see if these flavors will work together.

I love chicken wings. One of my favorite hangouts to have a cold one and a plate of wings is ‘Hooters’. They have ‘World Famous’ chicken wings. It also happens to be a fun place to watch a game or meet with friends. You can order the wings with various degrees of heat. The hottest level of heat for the wings is called the ’911. They grow numerous vegetables with one of their specialties being peppers. They take some of these peppers and work some smoky magic. They create chipotle from ripe jalapenos. The chipotles are blended with vinegar and salt to form an elixir of pleasure. This sauce is bottled and sold at various farmers markets. Today we are going to try “Chipotle No.2’. We will make some pulled pork appetizers to give it a taste with some food. Let’s get cookin!

This has a fairly simple label but very unique. The sacked out hillbilly laying against a pine tree gives instant brand recognition. There is even a little humorous quip of Hobo Howey’s favorite dishes. It is not something that is going to jump off the shelf because of the label, but it is very appealing with very good coloring

I love supporting local businesses – the person you help may literally be the neighbor of someone you know. So here’s another St. Louis, Missouri-based chile pepper sauce that I’m pleased to feature. The name is Happy Dogs Hot Sauce, a red vinegar, habanero and cayenne pepper-based condiment with a label shows off company owner Patrick Gilmore’s lovable-looking pooches named Oscar, Coney and Brigitte. But does this condiment make me as happy as the canines featured? Read on to see…
