Welcome back Benito. We were excited to try your ‘Original Naranja’. The last sauce of yours ‘White Heat’ was so very good and unusual. This sparked our curiosity and saliva glands to try your other sauces. I want to be sitting by the river shown on your label tasting great hot sauce. Let’s all sit by river and relax and taste “Original Naranja’.

Lizard's on the Bayou Gila Venom Habanero Sauce

Let’s give a rundown of Lizard’s on the Bayou Gila Venom Habanero Sauce’s accolades: it was 2006 ZestFest’s Peoples’ Preference Hot Sauce Award winner, a 2007 Golden Chile Award, placing 3rd in the Pepper Blend category, and a 2008 1st Place Scovie Award in the Habanero Hot Sauce category. Not a bad list for a sauce, so let’s see how it holds up to my humble little palette.

You will have to forgive the half empty bottle.  I started using it before I had a chance to review it and couldn’t stop.  I guess that is a good precursor to a review.

Uncle Brutha's ALLSAUCE No 9

I don’t think I’ve had quite a wallop of pure flavor such as this in a long, long time; perhaps not since I reviewed Jake’s Mesa Breeze Basil Lime Marinade have I encountered a sauce that possessed bold, amazing taste notes and also was balanced and delicious. The sauce I’m talking about is the wonderful chile verde, garlic & ginger-based Uncle Brutha’s ALLSAUCE No 9, one of two condiments (the other sauce being a multiple chile pepper-dominated red sauce) devised by successful music industry sound technician-turned hot sauce maker Brennan Proctor…

“BREAKFAST FOR BUDDAH”

I am a relatively new reviewer for ‘Pepper’s and More’. It has been a fun and interesting ride. I have met and made some new friends. Today we are reviewing “Crazy Uncle Jester’s After Burner Sauce”. This an XX-Hot habanero and chocolate sauce. This was a challenge for me. Everybody likes chocolate sauce and I love habanero’s. But, what food, besides ice cream would be a good match? Scott told me that Buddah likes this on pancakes. I believe Buddah likes bacon, so here we go with Breakfast for Buddah’.

Today we have a sweet/hot treat from ‘Datil Sensations’, ‘Blackberry Datil Jelly’. The label claims this jelly will make Gourmets smile. I do not claim to be a Gourmet but it did bring a grin to my mug.
